Vikingsholm, Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe's Vikingsholm is a remarkable estate built almost as a country estate in 1929 by Lora Josephine Knight. The estate was later donated to the California State Parks who now manage it for summer tours. The official Vikingsholm website is here
